Lydia

Centre Manager

Lydia is the Centre Manager at our Shipley site, bringing over 16 years of experience in dentistry. She qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2010 and has successfully progressed through the practice to her current leadership role.
Lydia is committed to ensuring that every member of the team delivers a consistently high standard of care to all patients. She also oversees compliance with CQC regulations at the practice, maintaining a safe, effective, and well-managed environment.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys spending quality time with her young family, going on days out, and attending live music events with her husband and friends.

Dr Bako

I grew up in Huddersfield and later moved to Leeds to study at the University of Leeds, where I completed a Masters and Bachelor of Dental Surgery, alongside a Bachelor in Oral Science.
My academic journey has helped shape my commitment to providing the highest standard of dental care, and I'm passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident with their smiles. I enjoy building strong relationships with those I treat and always aim to create a welcoming, supportive environment.
Outside of work, I love staying active—especially by playing football—and I'm a lifelong Chelsea FC supporter. Whether on the pitch or in the clinic, I always bring energy, focus, and a genuine passion for what I do.

Christina

Dental Hygienist & Therapist

Tina is a Dental Hygienist and Therapist at Shipley Dental Centre. She has worked in dentistry since 1999 and graduated from the University of Leeds in 2009 with a Graduate Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Tina is passionate about helping patients with their oral health so they can maintain healthy smile. Outside of work, Tina enjoys spending time with her family.

Danielle

Lead Dental Nurse

Danielle is a Lead Dental Nurse with over 16 years of experience in dentistry. She plays a key role in supervising the nursing team, supporting the dentists, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of clinical operations at Shipley Dental Centre. Compliance is a major part of her role, and she is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and regulatory requirements within the practice.
Outside of work, Danielle is a mum to two boys and enjoys spending quality time with her family. She loves going for walks, travelling on holidays whenever possible, and discovering great food along the way.

Cheryl

Receptionist

Cheryl began her career as a dental nurse in 1994, qualifying in 1996 and building a strong foundation of clinical knowledge and patient care experience. Today, she works as a dental receptionist, where she continues to use her extensive clinical background to support both patients and colleagues. Her understanding of dental procedures and patient needs allows her to offer reassurance, clear communication, and a smooth experience from the front desk to the surgery. She especially enjoys meeting patients and helping them feel comfortable and welcome.

Outside of work, Cheryl loves spending time with her sons and going to live music gigs whenever she can. She is also passionate about giving back to the community, helping to organise an annual charity scare event that has raised tens of thousands of pounds for good causes. A creative at heart, Cheryl enjoys horror cosplay and specialises in special effects makeup, bringing spooky characters to life with impressive detail and flair.

Rebecca

Receptionist

Alongside Cheryl on reception, Rebecca is the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment at our Shipley practice. She helps manage the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area, and enjoys coordinating appointments, helping patients with enquiries, and supporting the dental nurses and clinicians in delivering excellent, patient-centred care.
